| Rubber (Latex, Neoprene) | Cuts cleanly with the laser and can be engraved. Cutting of thin latex rubber is possible without any physical contact with the material.

| Magnetic Sheet (not vinyl backed) | Magnet sheet can be cut provided that it is not vinyl backed. Vinyl gives off a corrosive gas which can damage the laser. |
| Felt | Can be cut to a thickness of about 3mm. The edges of the felt become discoloured and sealed. The discolouration can be a feature of the design if appropriate colours are selected. |
| Fibre Glass sheet (Cuts with a blacked edge which is not sealed) | The finer grades of fibre glass can be cut leaving a blackened unsealed edge. |
| Sand paper experiment | Can be engraved and cut to give some interesting effects for murals. |
